We’ve got some very loud and extremely dusty construction going on in the alley next to us, but our AC is working well and we are open!

Also, 63rd/1st is getting new blacktop. If you are coming from Des Moines, I recommend you use Grand Ave and go south from there, otherwise you’ll be blocked or forced to drive over fresh tar/oil.

Rifling through some old postcards, found a photo postcard of St Anthony’s Chapel, the “world’s smallest church” outside of Festina, IA. We drove by it several times when I was little. I think it’s between where my great grandfather’s farm was and Waukon, my mother and grandmother’s hometown.

Just now realizing that is only a couple miles north of where Doug grew up and there’s no way our paths did not cross when we were little.
