Interested in sewing your own book but not sure where to start? This beginner bookmaking class is for you! During this workshop, learn how to sew books using the pamphlet stitch. Over the course of the class, you'll make two books, one with a soft cover and the other hardbound with fabric. You will also be given supplies that you can take home to continue making books.

In this class you will learn:
+ Two types of pamphlet stitch bindings.
+ How to create fabric covers for a bound book.
+ How to use beeswax to aid in bookbinding.

No rotary cutters. No rulers. Just fabric scraps, scissors and a sewing machine. We'll then finish our mini-quilts with hand-quilted stitches.

All machines have been:

🌀 timing checked & corrected
🌀 all basic machine functions checked & adjusted
🌀 the level of service we perform is relative to machine price; if you have any questions, please ask.

Machines come with an unconditional 30 day warranty. After 30 days we’ll still do our best to make sure you are satisfied - if any problems arise, please let us know!

We’re feeling very but also quite with the volume of donations lately! So we’re taking a pause for the rest of the month. Any pre-existing appointments will be kept. Usually during busy donation months I’d be coming in on my weekends to keep up, but this month that isn’t an option. A family member up north is getting ready to move, and my organizing/wrangling skills are needed there. Thanks for understanding 🤍
