August is going to look a little different around the studio.

Over the past year, your support has kept us incredibly busy (just the way we like it). It really feels like we’re growing the community of makers we set out to when all this began.

To make sure we’re delivering the best work possible, we’re pressing pause on our classes and events throughout August. This gives us the chance to catch up on current projects, make improvements around the studio, and prepare for an exciting fall season.

We’re still here! During August, you’re always welcome to stop by during our open hours to:
• Ask questions about 3D printing or modeling
• Get help with your own projects
• Buy filament
• Explore our products and services
• Chat with us about your next idea

Check out our updated studio hours for August.

When September arrives, we’ll be back with a full calendar of classes and events, along with some new programs and a few exciting developments we’ve been working on behind the scenes. We can’t wait to share what’s next.

Thank you for your continued support. Taking a month to reset and build behind the scenes means we’ll be able to come back this fall with even more to offer our community. Stay tuned. We think you’re going to like what’s coming.

After we learned some 3D modeling basics, the kids got to work making their own boats. After printing and some assembly, floating them down the river was the perfect end to our week at 3D Printing & Design Camp.

Learn skills and do activities just like this at one of our upcoming events. Check them out on our website! Link in bio

Sometimes the little details make all the difference.

When you get into 3D printing you start to realize that even for the most niche things, someone has likely already created a 3D model you need.

But not everything you find online is perfect. A customer came in with these parts and asked if I could modify the model he found online to look like the original version (the black one in this post). The white version is the model he found that needed fixing.

Knowing how to 3D model has opened up so many doors for me and I’m thankful for being able to create and modify to models to fit my needs.

Got a file that needs fixing or created from scratch? DM us and we’ll get it done for you!

How much does this big Benchy weigh?

This week at camp we dug through our scrap bin to see if we could guess how much waste material weighed the same as this Benchy. Each kid got the chance to measure their guess and our winner took home the Printer P**p Trophy!

Part of this activity was learning about printer waste and what we can do to reduce, reuse, and recycle it.

We had a fantastic first week of summer camp at the studio. Though we worked through multiple projects, each of these kids designed and 3D printed their own custom boats. On our last day today we took them down the river to see how they would fair on the high seas. What a great time and amazing group of kids.

Summer is in full swing, and the studio is buzzing.

Whether you’re looking to beat the heat, dreaming about crisp fall days, or even thinking a little further ahead (we’re looking at you, Christmas lovers 🎄), we’ve got a lineup of creative events to keep your hands busy all summer long.

From learning the basics of 3D printing to building a magical book nook, celebrating Christmas in July, creating back-to-school accessories, and getting an early start on spooky season, there’s something for every kind of maker.

Take a look through the calendars, find something that sparks your creativity, and come spend an evening making something you’ll be proud to take home.

Summer doesn’t have to slow your creativity—it might just be the perfect time to start your next project.
