Our admin (aka We), are wonderful community members and do not represent other pages. Uptown - Over the years Uptown has changed from hosting lots of antique stores to cute boutiques and now many restaurants and yes, liquor ! A town where you can wander and see art, hear music, feel a sense of community, enjoy events and be safe. Join us. Uptown Westerville Shopuptown (one of the original and oldest FB pages) would like to inform our community about any event occurring in Uptown and nearby area with an FYI. Please PM us. Include date, time, link to event, where in Uptown. FYIs are informational post, not an endorsement, opposition or a disapprobation. Simply letting the community know what is happening in the community so members/shoppes/visitors can be aware and make their own informed decisions . Most of our posts are from posts already available on Facebook. We do reserve the right to delete comments. We reserve the right to remove comments or limit them. If you want to know more about the event, contact the event organizations directly. Rude, off topic, sales, or not factual comments will of course be deleted regardless of their position (for or against). Please feel free to share an event on your page and make comments there too.

Ohio State has revoked campus Flock camera access from an organization that partners with federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security.

It is not clear how much access, if any, federal agencies had to campus-located cameras, or for how long. Ohio State’s decision to drop the Northeast Ohio Regional Fusion Center came days after The Lantern asked about its presence on a list of agencies with which the university shares camera access. The list was obtained through a records request.

Openings include the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Uptown Review Board, Personnel Review Board, Income Tax Board of Review and Volunteer Fire Fighters’ Dependents Fund Board.

Interested applicants should visit Westerville.org/ApplyBC to view vacancies, term lengths and review the Boards and Commissions Handbook. Applicants must:

—Be a resident of the City (residing within the corporate limits of the City of Westerville for at least 6 months)
—Be a registered elector
—Be able to attend in-person meetings.

Applications are due Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, by 5 p.m. Apply at Westerville.org/ApplyBC
