Welp… looks like the heat came back with a vengeance. 🌞

So we’re resharing our most important summer reminders:

Water early in the morning whenever possible. This gives your plants time to soak up moisture before the hottest part of the day and helps reduce water loss from evaporation.

Check them again in the afternoon. Hanging baskets, containers, and newly planted flowers dry out quickly during stretches of extreme heat and may need a second drink.

A little extra attention now goes a long way toward keeping your gardens, planters, and baskets looking beautiful all summer long.

After these extreme stretches of heat, your plants are feeling the stress—even if you’ve been watering faithfully.

Frequent watering is essential during hot weather, but it also washes important nutrients out of the soil, especially in pots, hanging baskets, and raised beds. Without those nutrients, plants can start to lose their vigor.

The good news? A little fertilizer can make a big difference.

-Simply make a liquid fertilizer with our fertilizer by mixing it with water.
-For longer-lasting results, add a slow-release fertilizer to the soil. Each time you water, a small amount of nutrients is released, providing a steady supply of food to the roots.

Stop by Dean’s if you have questions—we’re always happy to help you choose the right fertilizer for your plants!
