Patrons of Nankin Hobby! This is an important message — one that, like all great comic book arcs, brings both triumph and bittersweet endings.
For the past few years, comic books have had a home at our Westland and Farmington locations. We've fought alongside heroes, battled mighty villains, and turned page after page of thrilling adventures. But even the greatest sagas must one day conclude.
In the face of shifting tides, with the mighty distributor Diamond Comics declaring bankruptcy and others struggling to stay in the fight, Nankin Hobby has made the difficult decision to close this chapter on comic books. Our final orders have already been placed, and on Wednesday, February 26th, our last shipments of new issues will arrive. From that moment on… our comic book shelves will stand still, frozen in time like a hero caught in an epic cliffhanger.
For those brave souls who have pull lists with us, fear not! Your subscriptions will continue as planned through that final shipment. But beyond that, you will need to seek a new secret lair for your future pulls.
We want to thank each and every one of you — fans, collectors, and fellow comic crusaders—for making this journey an unforgettable one. The friendships we've built, the stories we've shared, and the legendary moments we've created will live on forever, like a timeless issue sealed in a collector’s vault.
Though this chapter closes, our heroic mission continues! Nankin Hobby remains your headquarters for RC, models, trains, and more. Who knows? Perhaps, we'll team up again for another hobby adventure!
