More progress. I managed to get it sanded smooth and ready for burn and paint. Next step, I connect the first 7 rows, tape them off and paint the Union and starts - then assemble and some edge clean up and last - spar varnish...

Look how sexy the burn comes through. The product we went with for color is called Unicorn Spit. REALLY cool crafters product. Love the color that is hard to capture in the pics

Had to go out of town unexpectedly. Got back to it today now that I'm back and settled in!

Wavy wooden flag is really starting to take shape. Lots more sanding to do but definitely getting close to fire and paint 😊

Today I spent Memorial Day working on a carved 40" Waving American flag (fitting isn't it) thinking about Memorial Day and the meaning. When the saws, grinders, and equipment are buzzing and you can't hear anything - that's the BEST time to think and reflect.

Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day and spent a few moments thinking about those who laid down their lives for this country...

We had a great time at the South Carolina Bigfoot Festival yesterday! We appreciate those who stopped out and met us. We sold out of our infamous Biden/Bigfoot ornament and the National Lampoons Christmas Vacation ornaments - but we will be making more! We may be planning one with Big Red himself!!!

We will see y'all on November 23rd at the craft fair at High Falls County Park in Seneca SC!
