Let me introduce myself. This is me, Carmela. I was born and raised in Peru and moved to the US in 2016 when I came to study for my Master's Degree in Special Education.

Before coming, I reconnected with an old friend and ex from 15 years ago, and the rest is history. We got married and had a beautiful baby. You may be wondering how I ended up working in network marketing; the answer is simple.

When my baby was born, I needed to find a way to stay home with him, eventually homeschool him, and provide him with the best the world has to offer: his parents' time! However, we needed to work and pay the bills, so I went back to work (a job I truly enjoy) while I am building the life I want.

After researching so many ways to make extra money, I connected with an amazing woman who opened my eyes to affiliate marketing and became an official distributor for one of the best companies in Japan. Not only did I love the product, but I also loved the idea of helping other women become their own bosses.

Every day, I dedicate time to my automated online business while I raise a child, manage a household, and work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Starting a business can be overwhelming, scary, and nerve-wracking, but growth emerges from those challenges. The way I have grown in the past few months in this business can't be put into words, and I am grateful to be a part of a group of hardworking women who are ready to build the lives they want!

Oh boy! 🤪
This was an extraordinary experience. Being pregnant with my boy felt especial and I knew I was going to love this God's gift so, so much, but I was wrong.

The love I felt for him when I saw him for the first time couldn't compare to any feeling I had before, and it completely changed my mind regarding how I spend my time.

Before I was pregnant I used to think "well, I have a job, I have my baby, I send him to daycare and that would work perfectly". However, once I held him in my arms I changed. I felt this urge to just be his mom and spend my days by his side. That is when I started this business. I started it because society is imposing a very harsh life on women and their babies. Then I found this business that gave me a new purpose: helping women to build the life they dream for themselves and their families. There is so much joy in seeing a mom becoming an entrepreneur.

My reason for changing was simple:
I just wanted to be with my baby 🙎‍♂️

Today I received a plaque for 5 years of dedicated service. It was a bittersweet moment since our headmaster, who usually gives these recognitions, passed away last week 💔

I was reflecting on what I felt when I received this plaque and I came to the conclusion that I felt proud of myself. I have been teaching since 2007 but 5 years in the US. This may not seem like a lot of years for most teachers but for me, this plaque represents everything I have been able to accomplished in a foreign country. When I came to the US I basically started from 0, left my whole job in Peru, my family, my friends, my food, my culture, everything that I considered my “comfort zone”. I left everything behind and I took the risk of starting all over so I could have a better professional future.

So yes, I am proud of myself and today I celebrate my consistency and determination 💪🏼

Nothing of this would have been possible without the support of my husband, friends, colleagues and all the amazing people who trusted in me, guided me, supported me and cheered me up when I needed it the most. Thank you to all the people at Eagle Hill a place I consider my second home and that have showed me so much support in the worst moments of my life here in the US. I won’t say names but I am sure they know who I am. Above all, thank you God!

These are some of the reasons why I decided to have an online business. The flexibility it gives me is amazing. I work on it at any time and from anywhere. Thanks to the trainings I've received, I have been able to contact people from around the world, who like me, are decided to change their lives leveraging the online space.

Nothing prepared me for what came after this photo. A study year in the United States that changed my life. A year in which I finished my Masters degree, got married and eventually had a baby.

Nothing prepared me for motherhood in a country far away from mine with no-one, besides my husband, to help me with the baby at home.

Nothing prepared me for my breastfeeding journey that ended up in exclusively pumping. A task I ended after 18 months and that taught me so much about commitment.

Nothing prepared me to be a working mom. I would have never imagined that living your kid at home or at daycare for 8 hours was going to be so painful.

Things changed drastically for me in the last 6 years. I´ve grown so much and learned so much. Now, I am building my online business and enjoying every minute I can with my son, while I also juggle being a wife and a teacher.

Being an entrepreneur while having a lot of things in my plate is challenging but rewarding. The journey to success is full of high and lows. Full of mindset work and hours invested in learning new skills.

The life of an entrepreneur is the life of a person who is ready to keep going even when things get hard. I love becoming that person for my son, my family, my life. I love being an entrepreneur teacher and mom!

A glance to the future, perhaps?

I have so many dreams for my son. These are my dreams not his and with time and as he grows, I will learn about his own ones

My job as his mom is to provide him with a great variety of experiences, a vast field of opportunities so HE can choose what he likes, what he wants and who he would like to become

This is when money plays an important role. Money is a tool, money is energy. This business will provide me with the opportunity of giving my son experiences that otherwise I couldn’t afford.

Meanwhile, I give him my best. These are crucial years for his brain development and I don’t want to waist any second

I am not talking about “things” I am talking about opportunities. But above all, I want him to grown without any mental health problems. I want him to be as healthy as possible. I want him to be able to sort his feelings, to regulate himself, to love himself, to be grateful, to be kind, to be HIM.

Yesterday, I took this pic of my son “playing” with the piano and I wonder if I ever would see him playing one as an young man. I hope I do but if not, I will be happy with what he chooses to do

It is hard

It is hard to leave him at daycare to come to work.

It is hard not to seeing him all day because of a late duty day.

It is hard to wake up in the middle of the night when he calls you, knowing you have to be up at 5:00 am to go to work.

It is hard to think that you are missing those precious moments and that you and only, you should be the one who nurtures that precious child of yours

It is hard to plan different meals for the next day after working 8 hours and commuting a couple more

Motherhood as a working mom is hard. So I promise myself that I will work harder to free myself from a job schedule and do something that allows me to provide for my family.

I do it for this little boy, for my family, for me. Because we are meant for so much more in life than spending our valuable time in a workplace

Don’t get me wrong. I love working, being a teacher, talk to my students, my colleagues, etc. That is definite not the issue.

But having to sacrifice my time for money is not also something I want to do forever.

So if you are thinking about taking a leap of faith, embarking yourself in a new adventure, go for it. You won’t regret it.

✅ Keep a strong mindset

✅ Remember your “why”

✅ Be determined and work consistency.

Determination and consistency pays off ✈️ 📚 🎾 💰
