The resurrection process is painful. Slow. Lonely. Seemingly unattainable. Grueling. Draining. Dark. Ugly. But then there is a faint light at the end of the tunnel, beckoning, twinkling, urging us to come nearer.....as the light gets closer, the load becomes less heavy, and parts of that load are shed, left along the path toward that light, and the light becomes the concentration point, and the closer to it, the more shedding is done, of past, and hurt, and aching, and tears and poor decisions, and giving love to the wrong people, the lighter the feeling...until one day.....it is there, the light is almost within reach! This is when the head must be kept above water, no matter the evil forces that may try to push it back under, away from the light....and finally....FINALLY!...the light is attainable! Able to reach with both hands, as the baggage has all been shed, the light is attained and now is the time to shine bright, brighter and more beautifully and confidently than ever before, until at last, the light you see is from the light shining from within. This. This is the most beautiful resurrection, just like the phoenix, the rising is beautiful and stunning and the others, those who threw the stones, who gave the blows, who slapped the beauty and confidence away, they will reach for it now, but find that it is not an attainable object that can be possessed. At that moment, the phoenix is free to rise above and beyond her wildest dreams and live her best life forever.

Here's to a new beginning full of light....

Please forgive for my quiet spell. I've been super busy, following God's plan for my life! I have lots to say and share and tell, but right now, I wanted to just quickly ad this little story as it was a bright spot to my day, and maybe it will be yours, too.

I was at T-Maybe yesterday, trying to get help with my phone plan...*shout out to Deejay*....an awesome employee that was there in-store, and to Cody, who gave us stellar service on the other end of the phone. Cody did something the previous answer-er was not interested in helping us with. He went above and beyond his duties to ensure that he was quick and efficient, to make sure that my concerns were addressed and taken care of, and that he documented our phone all so that if anything went awry, it would all be right there in my account for the next person to see and hep me. I mean, I really cannot say enough about this guy whom I now refer to as "Stellar Cody".

At the end of the conversation, I asked if I could speak with his supervisor after thanking him profusely for his help and determination assisting me. I let him know I needed to say good things about him to someone. When the supervisor answered the phone, she was so excited to have nice things said to her from the other end of the line...I don't imagine that happens too much in her role, ya know? But what she went on to tell me is that Cody is in the running for a promotion, and my phone call very likely put him over the edge of the others, and he would receive said promo. Yall! How cool is that? It took me literally like 60 extra seconds to do, and I was the one that got blessed~you would have thought I won the promotion when his leader told me the news. I was so happy to be a part of a good thing.

Just telling this story to say that when you're tempted to not speak up, do it anyways, because you really never know. You never know how a smile, a kind act, an encouraging word, a small laugh, saying thank you, or how are you today can change someone else's life. Not just day. But life. And chances are, you'll never ever know. And that is OK. I guess God knew I could use the happiness yesterday, and I got to know the rest of the story.

Thank a "Stellar Cody" today!
