Hurricane Prep:
Right now we are planning to open as usual on Sat from 7:30-1:00, rain or shine. In the event that we do not have power in the store, we will not be able to take credit cards but will be able to complete transactions with Cash. We know that our customers often need supplies after storms and will do our best to meet these needs despite the conditions.

When you come through the front door, chances are good that you are greeted by Michelle’s warm smile and greeting. We are celebrating her three years as part of our team! In addition to greeting customers and helping them at the register, Michelle works non-stop around the store cleaning and straightening. She is always willing to stop and help customers find what they need or answer questions. In her spare time, she cares for her own animals but especially enjoys her precious grands. Thank you, Michelle, for your hard work for those we serve.

It’s hard to say exactly when Hunter started working at the store, because he has been around since he was little. Long before he could lift a bag of feed, he operated Hunter’s Stand within the store where he sold homemade goods including grocery list holders and fire starters. (He is pictured here at his Stand and sleeping in Dad’s truck on the way home after a hard Saturday’s work.)

Hunter now knows every facet of Farmers Feed’s operations back and forth and floats wherever he is needed. Drop by on any given day and you could see him unloading a truck on the forklift, serving customers at the register or parts counter, or driving the spreader truck or hay trailer to his next job. Hunter always offers a smile, a “Hey, how ya doin today?” and even some good dad jokes! We don’t tell him enough how proud we are of him and how much we appreciate his hard work! Please join us in thanking Hunter for his many years of serving our community!

ALDOT road work has blocked our store entrance from the North side. If you are headed South on Hwy 231, you can turn left at the light at Old Montgomery Hwy (in front of the casino) and come in our back entrance. You can also go to the light at McDonald’s and make a U-turn to come in the front. We apologize for their inconvenience and hope it will be cleared soon.

Congratulations to Chris on his 12 year anniversary! Chris began his work with the store in the hayfields and through the years has worked in every area of the store. He is currently the mechanic in the small engine repair shop where he works on all of the equipment brands we sell.
In his spare time Chris enjoys time with his wife and three children helping with the kids’ ball teams and participating in their church activities. He also has served their community as a volunteer firefighter. We appreciate his long time service with our team.
