The historic Monterey Square in downtown Wharton anchored by our beautifully restored 1889 courthouse also boasts an eclectic mix of quaint shops. Patrons enjoy ample parking around the square and an easy stroll along newly renovated sidewalks through out the downtown area. The beautiful Colorado River Park is two blocks away and provides a serene respite. Come for a visit any time.

Third Thursday is coming back to Monterey Square on September 17th, and we’re ready to do it all over again!

Last month, we kicked off our very first Third Thursday on the Square, and WOW… you showed up! ❤️ Downtown was buzzing with friends, families, shopping, visiting, and plenty of reasons to stick around a little longer.

Now it’s almost time for round two.

✨ Thursday, September 17th | An Autumn Escape ✨

Come spend your Thursday evening downtown. Browse your favorite local shops, discover something new, grab a bite, bring a friend, and enjoy a little autumn escape right here on Monterey Square.

Each shop will be offering something a little extra to celebrate the fall season this month, so make plans to come see what’s happening downtown.
