New sign is up today (mind your business about how ugly my sign is), and Tori's Tasty Treats brought in some new flavors of treats, including pumpkin pie cheesecake, apple pie cheesecake, and cherry cheesecake.
Plus cranberry pecan crack and chocolate toffee crack.

For years, we've been told that independent bookstores are disappearing.

Apparently, readers didn't get the memo!!! 📚

According to the American Booksellers Association, 605 new independent bookstore businesses opened across the U.S. in 2025, while ABA membership grew 19% to 3,783 locations.

And this isn't just nostalgia keeping them alive. Most member bookstores actually reported higher sales than the year before.

What's also fascinating is how bookstores are changing. Some of those new businesses aren't traditional shops at all; there were pop-ups, online stores, and even 77 new mobile bookstores.

Maybe readers still want something an algorithm can't quite replicate: wandering through shelves, getting a recommendation from an actual human, and discovering a book you weren't looking for.

I know I've been limiting you on what book donations I can accept, but I have someone who said they are willing to take anything I don't want.
So...book donations are open to any books, so long as they are in GOOD, CLEAN condition.
