What Cheer Flea Market This is one of the largest Flea Markets in the midwest and will be in its 50th year in 2026!! The dates are always the first weekend in May, August and October.

Sending big congratulations to our two vendor winners in the drawing this afternoon. Dee Fear and Rodney Marshall were the lucky vendors whose names were pulled out of the hat, and since they were both here with all of their goods on display and still selling to shoppers at 2:00 PM, they are our big winners for the August 2026 market. In honor of our 50th year at the What Cheer Flea Market, the first name pulled out, Dee, won $500 cash from the What Cheer Flea Market! Scott was the second name pulled , and he won $100. Congratulations to both of our winners!

We are celebrating 50 years of The What Cheer Flea Market!

THE RAIN HAS STOPPED, and the grounds still are looking good!

Don't forget to visit our 7 buildings and 2 covered areas!!

COME AND VISIT US DAY!! SOME VENDORS WILL CLOSE AROUND 5pm, but you can walk around as long as vendors are open!!

We have 3 mermaid ring dishes hidden around the fairgrounds (They are NOT in vendor booths) If you find a mermaid ring dish hidden around as shown in the picture below, bring it to the information camper at gate 1 for $25 in flea market bucks.

We will also be spinning the prize wheel today!!
It is in HERITAGE HALL

Admission is $5, 12 and under are free.
Sunday admission is Free ! We open at 7am in What Cheer, IA

Over the years we have had many mermaids show up at the What Cheer Flea Market. In honor of our 50th year we have 3 mermaid ring dishes with What Cheer Flea Market Magnets hidden on the fairgrounds. NONE of them are hidden in a booth-they are all in public spaces. If you find one of the 3 hidden mermaid dishes return it to the information booth for $25 Flea Market Bucks!
We open today and tomorrow starting at 7 am and admission is $5 for anyone over 12 years of age

OUR NEXT VENDOR SPOTLIGHT IS BILL ELAM! You can find Bill in the North East corner of HERITAGE HALL!!

Bill has been coming to the What Cheer Flea Market for 45 years. His good friend Dave suggested he come to What Cheer and he has been coming ever sense.

The most interesting thing that he has seen at the What Cheer Flea Market was a fight between 2 vendor in Heritage Hall, many years ago. Needless to say both vendors got thrown out and were never invited to come back.

Bill says what sets his booth apart from other booths is that he always has a story about all of his years at the What Cheer Flea Market.

What he sells most is glassware and sports stuff.

His advice to first time shoppers is to get here early and go have biscuits and gravy in Thomas Hall. Then go shop and don't always buy early.

What she has found out about the What Cheer Flea Market is she loves the family that runs the event! She feels that she is a part of the What Cheer Flea Market Family!

What sets Winnie apart from other vendors is her collection of vintage items from clothing to Christmas and everything in between!
A fun fact about her booth is she has 2 lab babies that love attention and cookies!!
Her advice to new shoppers is to wear comfortable shoes and plan to spend the entire day in order to get the true essence of the show!!
