A few of you have tipped us off to a pretty cool Impex release of the Boston debut that is coming, so we thought we'd make some noise about it.

Impex is generally better known for audiophile Jazz & Jazz/Blues recordings and have been stellar sounding without exception. So I definitely find it interesting that they are releasing the landmark Boston S/T debut. They have Chris Bellman on board for the remaster (does that guy ever sleep?) at Bernie Grundman Mastering, so you know that this will be an excellent release. Tom Scholz is also overseeing the reissue... and if you have seen any documentaries about Tom... well, as a person with OCD I can say "damn dude, OCD much?" : ) Yeah, I've heard this album a couple hundred times or two... but absolutely looking forward to this. There will also be a bonus disc of demos and outtakes making this a rare 2xLP Impex release.

These are limited edition imports and my guess is it will sell it pretty quick just with the audiophiles jumping on board, so pre-orders are a must. We don't have a street date, but my guess is middle to late fall. Attached is our next installment of our Indie Exclusive Pre-Orders. This includes all of the indie exclusives up to October 16th. ALSO INCLUDED: A 5th & 6th page that includes all the Music On Vinyl limited releases coming.

If you have been following these in the past, you know pretty much how these work. If you are seeing this for the first time.. here are the basics.

1) The SIX lists here represent all the Indie Exclusives and Music On Vinyl available to pre-order up to October 16th. Everything is listed by street date. Click on any picture and it will open up into a new window so you can zoom in on titles.

2) Wherever possible we've indicated the color of the vinyl, but sometimes we unfortunately won't know until they show up.

3) Each Wednesday, we will post a new list with an additional week of titles.

4) If you want to pre-order anything, that is the easy part: Send us a Direct Message with the artist and title and we'll get you signed up.

Please also remember that this IS a pre-order and NOT a title that is already in-store that you are asking us to hold. Once we have your pre-ordered title in the store we do need you to pick it up... thanks for understanding the difference between a Hold and a Pre-Order. Pre-Orders CAN be cancelled, but we do need to have notification from you by the Monday before the street date. Thanks!

Anything highlighted in YELLOW is new to the list. Anything in ORANGE are titles we recommend a pre-order either because its going to be super limited or we think its going to be a high demand title. Thanks!!!!

September is here, and with it comes a new batch of vinyl thats included in our “As Heard on XRT” rack. Gracing the rack this month is the new Role Model, new(ish) Black Keys plus classics from Television and REM. We did have a few titles on the list that are out of stock (sorry Death Cab and Phoebe Bridgers!) but those will be back here and on display next week for sure!
