New products loading!!

We’ve already got the Hartzler Farms Egg Nog in some mighty fine glass bottles waiting for you in the fridge.

One of our customers swears by Stutzmans Farms peanut butter , as it’s just peanuts and nothing else so we decided to give it a whirl!

They also partner with a farm that offers uncured bacon with great ingredients, though this week they were short so come grab a pack while it’s here! Restock next week.

And if you’ve ever had manchego cheese, you’ll know how exciting it is that we have a local source for this. It’s in testing mode and will earn a permanent spot in our fridge starting next Thursday.

REFILL OF THE WEEK:

Azure Market Organics Peanuts, Dry Roasted No Salt

This week we are offering 10% off refills of our peanuts!! These can be used in a variety of ways, but our favorite is to make budget friendly, custom peanut butter. This can be done easily in a high powered blender or food processor.

Here's how you do it-

Measure out in ounces the amount of peanut butter you'd like to end with. For example a 16 oz jar will need around 16 ounces of peanuts.

If you like them extra roasted, roast at 325 for 10-15 minutes flipping half-way through then let completely cool.

Put room temperature peanuts into your blender or food processor with blade attachment and process for one minute at a time, scraping sides each time. This will take about 10 minutes but could be more or less depending on how creamy you like it.**If your machine gets very hot let it rest.

Once it reaches a creamy consistency, add your desired additions like salt, honey, cinnamon and process briefly again.

And that's it, your very own budget friendly custom peanut butter!

These peanuts are also great as an addition to home-made trail mix.

Another week, and another price reduction! We have our truck coming this Friday with some seriously awesome products straight from Azure Standard. We were previously getting our nutritional yeast from another supplier but when a customer reached out asking whether ours was fortified with B12 or not, we were sorry to report it didn't.

Though we have a serious love for all things health and nutrition, we do not have a well rounded knowledge on vegan and vegetarian needs. Thankfully this customer helped us understand that nutritional yeast is a great way to get B12 when a person is meatless. So with a quick search, click add to cart, and a little waiting we will soon have the appropriate product for our vegetarian and vegan crowd. What's more? This option ended up being SO MUCH more affordable and we can now beat any other price we were able to find. At just $1.00 per ounce, bring in ANY container to fill er up as much or as little as you need!

REFILL OF THE WEEK: BURDOCK ROOT

Ever had one of those little burrs stuck to your clothes and wondered what plant it came from?

Burdock grows wild throughout North America and the dried roots are typically used in teas, decoctions, and as an external wash for problems of the skin. The root is a good source of magnesium, potassium, folacin, biotin, copper, manganese, tannis, zinc, vitamin b (1,6,12) and vitamin E. It assists with purifying the blood, restoring liver and gallbladder function, skin conditions, gout, and stimulates the immune system.

These are called Pixie Crunch, and are a juicy crisp apple and taste like a cross between a Cosmic Crisp and Gala. They’re available in ~2lb (8count) bags for 3.75 or singular by the pound for $2/lb.
