As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are thankful today and all year long for the passionate individuals who make up this incredible organization. Our mission — the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage — is rooted in what Thanksgiving represents: to conserve and to share. We have so much mission-related success to be thankful for from this year, from our investments in wild turkey research, to our landscape-scale conservation projects, to the many new hunters we welcomed to our hunting heritage.

While the wild turkey is on our mind every day, Thanksgiving is also when many other Americans reflect on the bird as a true symbol of America’s conservation in action. We ask that you share that story and talk about the ongoing conservation efforts for our beloved bird. We hope your day is filled with fellowship, gratitude and the life-changing power of the outdoors. From all of us at the NWTF, Happy Thanksgiving!
