🌰 A Little Detour from the Craft Room… 🌰

I’ve been busy working on paper mache the last few days, but this weekend I took a little break to gather and trim my pecan tree.

One thing I did NOT know before… fresh pecans and their hulls will apparently stain your hands!

So now, in addition to working on Halloween creations, I’m sporting some lovely pecan-colored fingers.

You learn something new every day!

Back to the craft room soon… once my hands stop looking like I dipped them in coffee! Picture is after I did dishes by hand...TWICE😂😂😂

🎃 A New Little Pumpkin at B Avenue Designs! 🎃

I finished this little guy today, and I just LOVE how he turned out! 🧡

I started with a primitive fabric pumpkin, which I hand-stitched with his eyes, nose, and that sweet little crooked smile. I then created his striped fabric top hat, added his little bowtie, and attached him to an antique bed spring for that extra touch of vintage character.

He has so much personality—and definitely feels right at home with primitive and farmhouse décor. 🖤

I think he may be one of my favorites!

These fabrics are about to become handmade fabric candy corns, but before they become finished pieces, there's quite a bit of cutting, sewing, and love that goes into each one. ❤️

Every piece is designed, cut, sewn, and finished by me—from a simple piece of fabric to something ready for your fall décor.

They've Come to Life! 🎃👻

After all that sculpting, painting, and creating, my little vintage Halloween characters are finally finished! 🖤

From mischievous jack-o-lanterns and spooky ghosts to black cats, witches, vampires, bats, owls, and a moon—each one has its own personality and old-fashioned Halloween charm.

At only about 4", they're perfect for tiered trays, shelves, bowls, mantels, or creating your own little vintage Halloween display.

And because each one is handmade by me, no two are exactly alike.

🎃👻 Behind the Scenes at B Avenue Designs... 🖤

You may have seen some of my finished creations, but I thought I'd let you peek behind the scenes and see how they come to life!

I've been busy creating a whole collection of vintage-inspired paper mache Halloween characters, and these little guys have definitely taken some time and lots of love. ❤️

Starting with the classic paper mache bucket shape, I've been sculpting, shaping, painting, and adding details to transform each one into its own little character.

They're only about 4 inches, but there's a surprising amount of work that goes into each one!

I love taking a simple form and giving it a little personality—and watching these characters come to life has been one of my favorite projects.

🍂👻 I've Been Quiet... But I've Been Busy! 🎃🍁

I know I've been a little quiet here at B Avenue Designs, but I promise I haven't disappeared! I've been busy behind the scenes designing, sewing, creating, and giving new life to some very special treasures. ❤️

I've been working with 100+ year-old quilts, carefully repurposing these beautiful pieces of history into something new while preserving a little bit of their story along the way.

And look what's coming! ✨
