Baby chick update! 🐣🐥

The chicks upgraded their digs and moved outside to a much bigger space in the run. They are sometimes brave enough to fly out and venture around inside the run or explore the coop. Not much longer and we will start letting them have free range time outside and see how they do with the old gals. Surprisingly, of the 32 hens we only have 1 that has a larger comb and we have been watching to see if she identifies as a rooster. So far at 8 weeks old, she hasn’t started to crow yet 🤷🏼‍♀️ it has been fun to see them grow into all their beautiful colors and see all the silkies starting to get extra fluffy (which makes Noah super excited to see!) Only 8-10 more weeks before we start getting eggs from these gals. Can’t wait to see what color egg we will get first!

Baby goats update- Amy and Maple have accepted Rocky and Amy is a good mama to them both. He is thriving and getting so big, even if he’s still half the size of his siblings 🤷🏼‍♀️ Eden’s other kids are doing well and it looks like her doe has a home lined up for when they are ready to be weaned and separated. Hard to believe that’s only a few weeks away. So until then, we will enjoy them all while we can 🥰
