We have officially moved out of our 223 Maple St location, and Tack Attic is now fully in storage.

Unfortunately, paying for a storage unit was not part of our original plan, but after offering over 20 pickup dates and sending multiple reminders, more than 50 consignors still did not retrieve their items before our move-out deadline.

At this point, if you contact us requesting your consigned item(s), please understand:
• Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the consignor
• Processing and retrieval times will be slower due to all inventory being packed in storage

We will also be moving away from our Shopify platform, as the cost of maintaining it is simply too high during this transition. Over the coming weeks, all remaining consignment inventory will be exported and moved to a new sales platform.

For consignors with unused store credit: if we previously made arrangements with you for a payout instead of store credit use, those payouts are still being worked on. We ask for patience and understanding as we process them. One of the major reasons for closing our physical storefront was financial strain, and while we are doing everything we can to honor commitments, funds are limited and payouts are being completed as quickly as possible.

We truly appreciate everyone who supported us over the years and especially those who worked with us during this difficult transition. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move fully into online operations.

Hi everyone,

As we approach the final weeks of Tack Attic’s physical store closure, we want to address some frequently asked questions regarding consignment items and what happens next.

⭐️Why can’t I just leave my items on consignment?
At this time, we are no longer able to continue holding consignment inventory. Tack Attic will be entering a period of dormancy after closing our physical location, and we will not have the capacity to manage or store consigned items during that time.

⭐️Why is pickup required now?
We currently have over 1,000 consignment items still in the store awaiting pickup. We have offered more than 10 pickup dates and sent over 5 email reminders, but many items remain unclaimed. With our lease ending soon, we must fully clear out the space.

⭐️Can you store my items for me?
Unfortunately, no. Renting a storage unit to hold consignment inventory would create significant ongoing costs for the business, especially while we are not actively operating in our physical space. This is not sustainable for us.

⭐️What are my options?
We have two final pickup dates remaining. These are the last opportunities to retrieve your items before the store is fully cleared.

📆 May 16th & 17th…. Absolute final deadline is May 25th

⭐️ What happens if I don’t pick up my items?
Items left will be considered abandoned and Tack Attic will handle those items at our discretion.

We truly appreciate everyone who has consigned with us over the years and understand that this transition is not ideal. We’ve made every effort to provide ample notice and flexible pickup opportunities, and we now need your help to complete this final step.

If you have any questions or need to confirm your items, please reach out as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition.

In addition, if you’ve reached out and heard back confirmation that you’ll receive items in the mail, please be patient, mailing is expensive and time consuming. Betsy works a full time job outside the shop so getting to and from the store to grab items and get them to the PO or UPS takes time. You will get your items along with tracking upon shipment. Please be prepared to pay for the items to be shipped.

I brought my trailer with me today so I can start to pack up the storefront as we only have 2 more weekends to get cleared out. May is a crazy month! Please, if you have items on consignment (especially saddles) pick them up today or May 17th. Absolute deadline for pickups will be May 25th!

📣 A Clarification & Update from Tack Attic

We understand there’s been some confusion, so we want to take a moment to clear things up.

Tack Attic did not close for good and did not go out of business.
We made the decision to move fully online in hopes that it would help us get on top of our expenses after extremely low foot traffic made a physical storefront unsustainable.

Unfortunately, the move online has not had the impact we hoped for. Sales have dropped to zero — and while that’s incredibly difficult, we also understand how easily things can become misconstrued. Like everything else, it can sometimes feel like playing telephone, and messages don’t always reach everyone clearly.

This post is simply a reminder that although our physical space is not currently open for regular shopping, Tack Attic does still exist.

Our inventory is still available online, and every purchase — no matter how small — truly helps as we work through this challenging time.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support, check in, share posts, and spread the word. We genuinely appreciate it more than we can say.

An Important Update from Tack Attic

After Christmas, Tack Attic will be transitioning to a strictly online format.

While all inventory will remain at our White River location, an extreme decrease in in-store foot traffic has made it necessary for us to change how we operate in order to stay alive. This decision was not made lightly, but it is the best path forward to ensure Tack Attic can continue in some capacity.

The Tack Attic online store will remain open, and Betsy will be on site once a week to process online orders. Appointments will also be available for consignors who need to pick up their consignment items.

Consignors can expect to receive an email within the next week or so with login details for their personal consignment accounts, where you’ll be able to check balances and use your credits directly through our online store.

We truly hope to continue growing and eventually reopen in a physical capacity in the future. For now, moving online allows Tack Attic to keep serving our community and preserve the shop you’ve supported for so long.
