I wanted to share that I have made the decision (finally) to close the shop. It was my dream for so many years and I am happy I gave it a try. I think Mom would have loved it.

Unfortunately location is everything and my shop was most definitely a drive for most everyone. Trying to build a small business in this economy was quite the challenge and that coupled with my location just didn't work.

I do have quite a bit of yarn still so please reach out if you are interested in taking a look. I have quite the private stash (a building full actually!), and I am willing to sell some or most at a discount.

Many thanks to everyone who stopped in, offered encouragement and support, and shopped with me. I truly appreciate you all. ❤️

As summer approaches and life somehow gets even busier, I am spending less time in the shop. The fiber is beautiful and should be used to make beautiful things! All fiber, excluding handspun, will be 30% off. Please let me know when you want to come browse and we will get a date scheduled!

Things are shifting a little here at the shop. I will still have the shop filled with beautiful yarn and fibers to purchase. And I will be creating a Maine handspun collaboration called AlohaStrings Maine, as well as my own creations which will be under the name of AlohaStrings Studio. I am excited to finally have the ability to spend more time creating and can't wait to share my first pieces with you!

Shop hours will remain by appointment or by chance. And I will be attending more fairs and markets this year. I will be sure to keep you posted on where I will be.

Keep creating everyone! The world needs makers and dreamers.

It's the first day of March!! Even though there is still plenty of snow on the ground we sat outside on bleachers and watched a softball game yesterday! Which means it is Spring in my book!
