We are having a big storm. Hopefully the National weather warning that mentions our Road is not correct. We do have big wind, rain, lightning and thunder. So far no predicted hail and damage to buildings etc. Lots of tree branches are landing on the metal roof.

Saw this aspen bolete on my lawn today, sun lighting it up nicely. And as they do, growing near my gorgeous aspen trees.

A question for you all.... I have noted as the years go by, these boletes grow further and further from the aspen tree trunks. Do you think that is due to the roots of the trees growing further out from the tree each year? They use to grow right next to the trunk, not anymore.

These are known as edible, but create digestion discomfort in some people. For me, they go in the non-edible with that warning ;-)

Before the sun's light touches down in my yard.... mamma and her youngster wander out of the woods & by my cabin.
Mamma's coat has nearly turned a warm rust color compared to the gray brown of her winter coat.
The little birds are molting now, looking quite ruffled as they release old feathers for new ones. The seasons continual turning is seen in life's details. Noting and knowing these things inspires intimacy with our world.

So many flowers on this umbel. Has anyone ever counted them ;-) Maybe with the "she loves me, she loves me not" game? And so many little bugs and yet the flowers look perfect. I wonder what the bugs relationship with this flower is..... So many worlds within our amazing world.
