This lovely home had a clothesline tucked away behind it. I have so many wonderful memories of sleeping on sun-dried sheets. I even liked the stiff towels because they were so absorbent. This was my favorite part of the whole place!

I recently saw a question concerning a first memory of art. Of course I remember crayons, coloring books, and those simple little watercolor paint pans. However, what immediately came to mind was doodling dress designs in class at school. (Probably due to my interest in paper dolls and Barbie fashion.) I don’t remember any teacher ever calling me down for it. Now, it is considered gross negligence on a teacher’s part if they allow doodles during class. I was a good student and don’t remember this keeping me from listening or getting my work finished. If anything, it may have given me a creative outlet. What are your first memories of art?

I’m working on a project in acrylic this morning and sneaking out to the garden in between stages. I surely am dreading getting back on a schedule again.
