Our final post. That’s a bittersweet moment to acknowledge…
Well, we've achieved our goal - we're officially sold out! We're overwhelmed with gratitude for the love you've shown our lavender plants. Your enthusiasm warms our hearts as we embark on this new chapter in our lives. We're thankful to see our plants going to wonderful homes, and your thoughtful questions reassure us they're in good hands!
To ensure your new friends thrive, here's a quick recap:
1. Dig a hole the size of the plant.
2. Add a layer of any rock, typically 1-2”.
3. Follow with a layer of soil, typically 1-2”.
4. Plant and water thoroughly.
This week promises ample rain, but if your plants seem wilted, a drink will revive them. Should they turn yellow, hold back on watering. Once shoots appear, Mother Nature's morning dew will suffice.
A few more tips to keep in mind:
- Avoid mulch around the base; instead, use rock for optimal drainage.
- Plant with caution, letting them sit slightly above ground level - lavender dislikes “wet feet”!
- Holiday pruning rule: refrain from cutting before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, allowing a 30-day frost-free window.
- Save this message for future reference; this page will eventually disappear.
Wishing each of you immense success in nurturing your new plants! With love and appreciation - Amy, Clyde, Maddox, and Reese
