Thank you to all customers who have shopped with me over the last five years. I will not be reopening the shop and will be selling everything in the shop. Sale prices1/3 off of all handles and bases; natural reed is $9 per pound; color reed is $12 per pound; smoked reed is $10 per pound. I will not be cutting any kits. I really appreciate all the prayers, thoughts and concerns from everyone. I am getting better and stronger each day. I have so many appoinments scheduled in the next few weeks that the shop will not be open. I will let everyone know as soon as I open back up. Thank you.

Let me tell you, you don’t ever want to have abdominal surgery. I didn't state the obvious, it's so real to me I didn't even think to say it: thanks be to God for taking care of me. This might be more than any of you want to know but if you are interested here’s the story. I have had 2 C-sections and 1 back surgery – all three of these together were not as bad as this one. Last Monday night May 25th, I started vomiting and didn’t stop for 16 hours. I am never sick so I thought it would pass, just a bug. This was so sudden with no prior symptoms that would lead you to think surgery. On Tuesday 26th when I agreed to go to the ER, I was in a lot of pain but couldn’t stand up so the ambulance came. Once the tests started in the ER, they moved me directly to the OR and started surgery to remove a section of my colon that was dead. I have an ostomy pouch that will likely be reversed in 3 months. I don’t look forward to another surgery but that one will be much easier. The ER doctors, the surgeons, all the nurses, lab techs, X-ray techs and entire staff of LCRH were wonderful to me. I couldn’t ask for better care the week I was there. Also, thank you to Parker, Parker Nicholas & Crystal, and Jill for taking care of me and each other. I came home Monday night, June 1 and have been doing better each day. Looks like this summer will be filled with doctor’s appointments, etc. so no basket classes for a while. Now if I can just get all the adhesive off my arms and hands, I will be good.

The shop will continue to stay closed. I have had an emergency abdominal surgery on Tuesday night. I am still in LCRH in ICU but updated from critical now. I will let everyone know the plans for the shop at a later date.
