Today marks twenty-five years since the September 11th attacks, and it's a day that still sits heavy for so many of us.

I remember exactly where I was. I remember the confusion, the fear, the way an entire nation felt something together at the same time, even from a distance. Some days leave a mark on us collectively, not just individually, and this is one of them.

We hold this day with reverence for the lives lost, for the first responders who ran toward danger instead of away from it, and for every family who has carried a kind of grief that doesn't fully go away. It just becomes something you learn to live alongside.

Trauma, whether it's collective or deeply personal, doesn't ask permission before it changes us. But healing is still possible, even from the days that reshape everything. We believe that deeply, and it's part of why this work matters so much to us.

Today, we remember.

Taking a few days to sharpen our minds and refresh our spirits…

We’re here!!! The LITD team is at the American Association of Christian Counselors National conference. We’re a team that commits to taking the time to sharpen our skills and refresh our spirits. There’s something unifying about being with over 2500 of our colleagues from every state and across the world all coming together - especially today. We’ll post more throughout our time here…

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3 doesn't just describe the good seasons. It names weeping and laughing, breaking down and building up, all in the same breath, all as part of the same faithful rhythm.

We tend to want to skip straight to the harvest season and avoid the planting one. But scripture doesn't treat any season as more legitimate than another. The waiting season matters. The building season matters. So does the one that finally opens into something new.

If you're in a season right now that doesn't feel like the "good" kind, you're not off track. You're just in a different verse of the same chapter.

We’re all moved in!!! Now to keep making it comfy and get all the decor up…can’t wait to welcome all of you in!!!!

Today's the day. LITD is officially open in Suite 920.

Same building you already know, same team, same commitment to walking with you through the hard and holy parts of life. Just a little more room to do it well.

We worked hard over the weekend to get everything moved and ready. We had a lot of help too. Super huge thanks to some of the amazing guys at Faith Mission that did the heavy lifting. They even put together some very tedious new furniture for us.

There will still be a some changes and new things going up on the walls over the next few weeks. Let us know what you think as you come in for your first sessions in the new space. We'd love to hear it!

Thank you for trusting us enough to grow alongside you. We can't wait to welcome you in.

One week from today, LITD opens the doors to Suite 920. The office is almost fully packed now and ready to move.

We've thought about this moment a lot while getting the space ready. Every person who will walk through that door carrying something heavy, and every person who will walk back out a little lighter because they didn't carry it alone.

Thank you for trusting us enough to grow alongside you. We'll see you there starting September 1st.

This is therapy. Helping you create the new vessel for who you’re becoming.

This is therapy. Helping you create the new vessel for who you’re becoming.

In Luke 5, Jesus makes a simple observation. Nobody pours new wine into old wineskins, because the new wine will stretch and burst them. New wine needs a new container built to hold what it's becoming.

It's a strange little image with a big application. Growth is not just about having more of something. It's about whether the structure around you can actually hold what's forming. Sometimes healing itself looks like this. You outgrow old coping patterns, old relationships, old ways of managing pain, and you need new containers built for who you're becoming, not who you used to be.

Whatever new thing is forming in you right now, it might need a new wineskin too. That's not failure. That's growth doing exactly what growth does.

Two weeks from today, we open the doors to Suite 920.

Same building. Same team. Same commitment to walking with you through the hard and holy parts of life. Just a little more room to do it well.

We'll share the exact opening details soon, but wanted to keep you in the loop as this gets closer. Thank you for growing with us.

Nehemiah looked at the broken walls of Jerusalem and wept before he ever picked up a tool. Grief came first. Then he got to work, and he didn't do it alone. Nehemiah 4 tells us the people had a mind to work, each family repairing the section nearest their own home.

Rebuilding anything, a wall, a life, a sense of safety after trauma, is slower and less glamorous than the destruction that came before it. There's no dramatic moment where it's suddenly finished. There's just showing up, section by section, alongside people who are rebuilding too.

If you're in a season of rebuilding something that broke, you don't have to do it with speed. You just have to keep showing up to your section of the wall. We'll show up with you, sword and hammer at the ready.
