This first month has been more than we ever imagined. The support from our community has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for every person who has stopped by, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, or simply cheered us on!

We’re still learning every day - figuring out what works best, making adjustments, improving processes, and training new faces along the way. We know we haven’t gotten everything perfect, but we appreciate the patience and kindness you’ve shown us as we continue to grow.

What started as a fun idea has become something our family is incredibly proud of, and that’s because of all of you. Thank you for supporting a small family business, encouraging our staff, and helping us bring back something special here in our community.

We’re excited for what’s ahead, thankful for what we’ve learned so far, and grateful for every customer who has been part of our first month.

And last but not least,

I’m Kelli Brumbelow - the owner of The Grape Ape. What started as a random idea somehow turned into this moment right here. For the past 17 years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many of you at Parkway Grill - and now you can find me at both!

I’m usually the one “in charge” (debateable), currently the queen of the biggest mess, and allegedly the brains behind it all…

But really, the one next to me deserves the credit. My husband, Brendt, is the muscle, the delivery truck, the syrup maker, and the guy who lifts all the heavy things - usually without complaint and definitely with zero pay. He does it all because he loves me and constantly pushes me to chase my dreams!

Also, not pictured yet - our youngest and oldest kids, Layla and Brison. They are the TRUE definition of part time employees - but you may get lucky enough to meet them before the summer is over!

Thank you for supporting us! Summer is just getting started - and we can’t wait to share it with every single one of you!

And introducing my mom - also known as Gigi, Kris, or Kristi! 💜

Our unofficial maid, professional cleaner, and gummy stock manager..

She keeps everything clean, everything stocked, and somehow manages to clean up behind all of us like it’s part of the job description… even though nobody hired her for housekeeping.

You may know her for her green thumb, or from working at Smith’s, but somehow… I, her daughter, convinced her to work for me this season.

Now she spends her time keeping The Grape Ape from falling apart, making sure we’re stocked up, and cleaning up after the rest of us like the true MVP she is.

The accountant behind the chaos and proof that retirement is apparently just a suggestion.

Helping her grandkids, keeping us organized, and working at a snowcone stand like a pro - because apparently slowing down isn’t on her schedule.

First up… Tucker!

Our 14-year-old son who will be a Freshman at Holliday next year!

You’ll usually find Tucker behind the window helping keep the ice shaved, flavors flowing, and surviving the occasional syrup catastrophe.

When he’s not working at Grape Ape, he’s probably fishing or doing anything outside…

Working at Grape Ape means learning hard work, customer service, and that snowcone life gets real sticky real fast.

Be sure to say hi when you see him at the stand!

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend Update 🇺🇸

We’ve made the decision to close tomorrow as well - Sunday 5/24 - so our crew can spend some extra time with friends & family ❤️🤍💙

And starting next Sunday, we’ll be moving to our summer Sunday hours to open at 2pm!

Thanks for understanding and supporting our little crew! Have a safe & happy Memorial Day weekend!
