Understanding Tarot Royalty

The court cards are often some of the most confusing cards in the tarot deck. Are they people? Personalities? Situations? Parts of ourselves? In this class, we’ll explore the Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings as living archetypes within the tarot. Students will learn how to read the court cards as people, energies, stages of growth, advice, and inner voices. Through discussion, journaling, and hands-on reading practice, participants will build a more intuitive and confident relationship with these sixteen powerful cards.

What will you harvest?

Celebrate the first harvest with a hands-on workshop exploring the sacred history and symbolism of homemade oil lamps. In honor of Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, we’ll gather to create simple olive oil lamps as symbols of gratitude, abundance, protection, and the light we carry into the darker half of the year.

We’ll begin with a brief discussion of oil lamps across religious, spiritual, and magical traditions, including their use as symbols of devotion, divine presence, prayer, blessing, and illumination. From ancient household lamps to altar lights and ritual flames, we’ll explore how one small flame can hold deep spiritual meaning.
Participants will then create their own small olive oil lamp using simple materials, with the option to personalize it with harvest-inspired decorations, herbs, colors, and intentions. Together, we’ll connect the lamp to the themes of Lammas/Lughnasadh: the first harvest, the fruits of our labor, gratitude for what has grown, and mindful preparation for the season ahead.
Each participant will leave with a handmade oil lamp, basic safety guidance, and ideas for incorporating their lamp into a personal altar, meditation practice, harvest ritual, or seasonal celebration.
No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided.
