I realized there was no finish on this piece no lacquer no stain nothing.  so when I went to put a clear coat on it because I wanted to keep it blonde, it turned red. Turns out it’s a beautiful redwood piece and even though I wanted to keep it blonde, it looks great this way too. I chose the handles because  this is going to be used as a record cabinet, so I wanted the handles to look like a gold record, which is why I also painted the inside gold.

This piece needed a lot of work with sanding painting, resin molds, modge podge canvas, & new handles. I went all out. I ended up, loving this piece more than any piece I’ve ever done and I’m keeping it.
