To our friends - Thank you!
The Gilded Cookie will be closing permanently on June 30th. We understand this may seem sudden to you, but Kara and I have been working to this end for about the last 8 months.
Without too many details, my oldest daughter was given a catastrophic diagnosis last year. Juggling a small business, raising children at home and trying to support a grown child with a health emergency has been cumbersome to say the least, when balls must drop, they can never be the people that we love. Kara and I have discussed and planned for this for some time, and we both support one another in closing this chapter, each for our own reasons.
We have loved serving Wichita and the surrounding areas, we have loved being part of your most joyous occasions and sometimes your sorrows too. We have laughed and we have cried along side many of our beloved customers. You became pieces of our fabric and we hold that close to our hearts as we say goodbye.
The good news is, our dear friends at Magnolia Sweet Shop will be taking over our space and have some exciting things planned. We know them, we love them...so we aren't leaving you without a trusted replacement for all your sweet needs!
We love you all - thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for entrusting us with your most important moments and for allowing us to be part of your families lives.
