Rendezvous was born in the mountains, around a Colorado campfire, in reference to the early Mountain Men and their yearly meetings, or "Rendezvous", where they would come together to trade, laugh, share stories, and encourage each other. This is a concept that we want to incorporate into the culture of our store. We want it to be a place where Modern Day Adventurers can come together through various store events, or simply drop by, "Just Because," to support one another, gear up for their next adventure, trade stories, and share their common passion for the outdoors.

This is an amazing tent that I have, it has been used from California to Georgia and still going strong.

It is not the lightest tent out there, but it has stood up to some large storms and high wind, in places that other lightweight tents failed.

Always happy to show others the 2 person and 3 person models that we have.

Put it on your calendar for Wednesday, October 9th, at 6pm!

This is the second of four Fall and Winter Wilderness First Aid Quick Topic classes. We are happy to be able to do this class in conjunction with Rendezvous Adventure
Outfitters in Wichita, Kansas!

The class will be about 90 minutes long and will be focused on interactive hands-on learning.

What will we do?
- Show you the basics of successfully assessing a patient for traumatic injuries or medical conditions
- Demonstrate how to stabilize a patient with traumatic injuries until help arrives (head,
neck, limb, chest, pelvic and other. injuries)
- Show how to splint bone injuries and use a sling and swath
- How to treat severe bleeding including direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquet
use
- Basics of moving an injured patient
This is a lot for a 90 minute class so we will need to move along quickly but it will be great information to know.

Just like you always want to have enough food, you also want to have enough fuel. Don't make the mistake in not bringing enough fuel. Pay attention to the amount of hours or boils that a fuel canister can last. Plan for about 2.5 oz. per person, per day in the summer. Always try to find a sheltered spot when using the fuel to ensure efficiency and prevent waste.
