The “super generation” of monarchs are here! 🧡

Unlike the monarchs we see in the early summer, these pollinators can live for up to 8 months and travel up to 3,000 miles as they make the journey to Mexico!

These late season blooms are providing much needed nectar for their journey. Here are some of their favorites right now:

If you’ve been spotting monarchs lately, keep your eyes open because we’re heading into a pretty special time of year for these guys.

As fall approaches the “super generation” will be making its way through our region. These monarchs live much longer as they make the journey south for the winter.

Keep an eye on those flowers toward the end of September and into October. Grab your camera and enjoy them while they're here!

It can be hard to say goodbye to some of your favorite flowers at the end of the season... So before those last blooms are gone, why not save a few? 🌼

There are a few different ways to give your favorite blooms a second life: you can hang them up to dry, press them, or even use the microwave (if you're looking for a quicker option.)

Save a few flowers now and turn them into dried arrangements, artwork, cards, wreaths, or little garden keepsakes later. 💐
