Looking for safe pallets to use for raised garden beds. We are making them to help grow food for the needy people in the IE. we also are plantingng fruit trees to get more food. Please contact me Eric Rebrovich if you have pallets with these markings.
Safe Pallets:
Heat-treated (HT):
These pallets are treated with heat to eliminate pests, making them safe for use in projects like bed frames.
Debarked (DB):
Pallets marked with "DB" have been debarked, meaning the bark has been removed. While not directly related to safety in terms of chemicals, this process can improve the pallet's appearance and durability.
Kiln-dried (KD):
Pallets that have been kiln-dried are also considered safe as they have been dried to prevent warping and fungal growth.
