Final update from Blue Rock Materials on the Reche Canyon dumping
Thank you to everyone who has followed this. Here's where things stand.
What our cameras show:
• After hours of reviewing our security footage, we found the man from the dumping video.
• Around noon, he pulled into our yard with the same truck and trailer.
• He walked into our front office, where every customer orders and pays for materials, bought two yards of base, and left about ten minutes later.
• He is a customer who visited our yard. He is not a Blue Rock employee, and we don't know who he is.
Why it isn't Blue Rock:
• That truck and trailer are not ours. All Blue Rock hauling and deliveries are done in our clearly branded 10-wheel trucks. We don't use pickups or trailers.
• We have commercial bins on our property that are picked up every week, and anything larger goes to Badlands Landfill in our own trucks for less than $45 a ton. We have no reason to ever dump illegally.
What we've done:
• We reached out to the people who raised concerns, asking for a time, a report number, or any details so we could help. We didn't receive any.
• We contacted the Riverside County Sheriff's Moreno Valley Station ourselves. As of today, they have no report on file.
• The sheriff asked us to preserve our footage in case a report is filed, and we have.
• If a report is filed, we'll gladly provide our footage and sales record to the sheriff or code enforcement.
How you can help:
• If you filed a report or have an incident number, please send it to me at 951-483-7006 so we can connect it.
• Please never dump in our canyons. We accept concrete and dirt at our yard.
• If you have a bag of trash that for some reason can't make it into your own bin, talk to us and we'll make it work in ours.
Our goal is to beautify landscapes, not trash them. This is our community too, and we want the canyon and the burros protected just as much as you do.
Thank you,
Victor
