June, we are sad to see you go. 🌈☀️

We showed up Free & Fearless, and you all showed up right alongside us. The most powerful spell truly is being exactly who you are, and this community proved that over and over again in June.

We vended at not one, but two community PRIDE events this month, and both of them were such a gift. There is something so special about being an LGBTQIA+ owned shop out in the world, celebrating with our community, selling a little magic to people who need to be reminded of their own.

Sky started us out for the month with an appearance at the first annual Newport News PRIDEFEST! She brought the wonder, the sparkle, and the one-of-a-kind magic that only The Wandering Witch herself can bring! ✨

Our Summer Solstice Festival on June 21st was pure sunlight and joy. Natalie and Anna hosted a day full of Sunflower hunts, suncatchers, sigil stones, community art, seasonal sips, and so many beautiful faces wandering through our little corner of Williamsburg!

Lexi, Donovan, and Kim made the trek to Charlottesville for Fae Fest on June 20th and 21st, and had an absolute blast. The fae energy was electric, and we were so grateful to be a part of it for the 5th year in a row!

June was full of events, connection, magic, and moments we will carry with us for a long time. Thank you for making magic with us and being such an integral part of every single moment! 💜

Here’s to the wonder that awaits us in July. 🌊

The Wandering Witch will be closed today, Saturday (7/4), and tomorrow, Sunday (7/5)!

Join us in hexing the patriarchy and cursing the establishment. (Because, obviously that’s the only appropriate way to observe July 4
amidst all of this corruption and chaos!)

We’ll be back to our full event schedule and regular hours this Wednesday, 7/8! ✨

In the meantime, light a candle, spend some time immersed in your community, stay hydrated, and in the words of John Lewis “never be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble”!

Yesterday marked 32 trips around the sun... 🌞

I used to celebrate my birthday by doing an act of kindness for every year I’d been alive. It was my way of practicing the world I wanted to build, one small gesture at a time, because I didn’t yet have a place to pour all of that love and hope into every day.

I didn’t know then that I was just rehearsing.

Somewhere along the way, the counting stopped being necessary. Not because I stopped caring as much, but because the work became my life. The community became the daily practice.

32 feels surreal in a way that I can’t quite put my finger on, but I’ve been saying that for years now. It’s strange how as you move through each new year of your life, time feels more and more like a divine gift - a chance to learn more, to love more, to experience more.

I have done things in the last two years that the younger version of me, the one grappling with her illnesses and counting her acts of kindness on her fingers, couldn’t have possibly imagined…
And yet here I am - living them - every single day.

Even on the hard days (and there have been hard days - there always will be), I look around at this community, at the people who walk through our doors, at the souls I get to call friends and family and chosen family and everything in between, and I think: I GET to do this. I GET to live this life.

The gratitude for that swells like sunlight in my chest. None of this is something that I will ever take for granted.

Cancer season teaches us that home is not always a place. Sometimes it’s a purpose. Sometimes it’s the people who show up. Sometimes it’s simply the feeling of knowing that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be.

I truly believe that, for the first time in my life, I am truly home, and I am so beyond grateful for that.

Thank you for being part of my story.
Every single one of you.
You are my favorite part of every day, and I’m so grateful that I get to live this life at the same time as you. 🌻
