Happy first day of winter! OK, I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of winter, but I'm trying to make it more fun. I am on Christmas beak from school and have a little more time for sewing. Making these color accent long-sleeve camisas to keep your dollies warm!

Dolly friends,
I've been quiet for a while. I've been in a bit of a back-to-school daze. Not just because I have a 3rd grader, a 1st grader, and a kindergartener, but also because I STARTED TEACHING AGAIN!

This was a plot twist that took me by surprise! I have a bachelor's and a master's in education, but I've been home tending littles for the last NINE years and doing side gigs like teaching English online and, of course, my etsy sewing shop.

A part of me dearly missed teaching and wanted to go back, but I didn't envision doing it all at once as has turned out to be the case. However, my "dream job" in education came along, and I happily jumped at the opportunity. I now teach English to multilingual learners (ESL).

Having said that, it has been a HUGE transition for our family with lots of moving parts. Adjustment has been a process, and I am just getting into a routine of being a full-time working momma.

What does this mean for my shop? I'm not 100% sure, but a good guess is it will mean much less time for sewing and fewer things available. At this time, I do NOT intend to close the shop, but just keep it scaled way back in quantities.

Better late than never? I had meant to finish this outfit in time for the fourth of July, but this will have to suffice 🤣. That's life with kids home for the summer.
