Iβm fairly convinced I was born with a book already in my hand. πβ¨
βFor as long as I can remember, reading hasnβt just been a hobbyβitβs been the backdrop of my entire life. But if you asked me when that quiet love turned into a lifelong obsession, Iβd tell you about my time working in a used bookstore. Hands down, it was the best job Iβve ever had.
βThereβs a very specific kind of magic in a used book shop. Itβs the worn spines, the soft crease of a cracked binding, the faint smell of paper and history, and the quiet thrill of discovering a forgotten favorite on a dusty shelf. Every pre-loved book carries two stories: the one written on its pages, and the story of everyone who held it before you.
βWhy books? Because they offer us a place to land when the world gets loud. They give us comfort, quiet moments of connection, and endless room to wander. Building a life surrounded by stories was never really a choice for meβit was just bound to happen.
βWhatβs one book from your childhood or past that youβll never forget? Iβd love to hear about it below! π
