Ever wonder if decaf tea actually tastes different? 🍵

For this month’s TEAm tasting, our team decided to find out.

We tasted some of our decaf teas side by side with their caffeinated counterparts from the same vendor.

The biggest surprise? Our Sencha. 🌱

The traditional Sencha brewed a beautiful bright yellow green with the fresh, smooth notes we expect from this style of tea.

The decaf Sencha brewed much darker and had more roasted, astringent notes.

One wasn’t “better” than the other, but it was such a fun reminder of how every step of processing impacts what ends up in your cup.

These are our favorite moments as a team because tea is something we are always learning more about too. 💚
