Yesterday, our Dragonfly group had the incredible honor of experiencing a private tour of the old Buffalo psychiatric hospital, including places that most people never have the opportunity to see.
It was extraordinary.
The energy was absolutely palpable—but perhaps not in the way many people would imagine. There was no fear. No sense of uneasiness. Instead, I experienced the building as calm, welcoming and incredibly peaceful. At one point, I had the overwhelming feeling that I was simply being held.
Our guide, Mark, made the experience even more meaningful. His knowledge of the building and its history was incredible, but what moved me most was the compassion with which he shared the stories of the people who once lived there. He remembered names. He spoke about those who have passed with reverence and tenderness. He allowed us to see beyond the institution and into the humanity of the people whose lives were woven into its history.
That perspective was incredibly refreshing and deeply moving.
This place has always held a special fondness in my heart, and after yesterday, even more so.
And then I remembered this photograph.
I took it more than 12 years ago for my Buffalo Art and Inspiration and and titled it:
TOUCH HEAVEN

How fitting that it popped into my mind after yesterday’s experience. ✨
Thank you, Mark, for opening these doors to us, for sharing these stories with such heart, and for giving our group an experience we will not soon forget.
We are so very grateful. 💜🙏

Yesterday’s Lion’s Gate energy was absolutely incredible. ✨🦁♾️

I was so blessed to host our Lion’s Gate event, and my heart is full of gratitude for every beautiful soul who joined us. The signs, synchronicities, and magical moments throughout the day were undeniable. Together, we wove something truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to Wendell Rivera for leading such a soul-stirring drum circle. The energy created together was powerful and unforgettable.

The day became even more meaningful as I had the honor of officiating a wedding for an amazing couple in Chestnut Ridge Park—a perfect setting for such a sacred union on such a powerful day.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude. Thank you, Universe, and thank you to everyone who shared this extraordinary day with us. I never take these moments for granted. 💜🙏✨
