Willits Senior Center Drive-through chicken dinner update:

We sold 63 of the 120 available dinners. 😢 a sign of people struggling financially ?
I don’t have the exact numbers yet, but I think that it’s safe to say we raised over $2700 after expenses. BIG SHOUT OUT
To Willlits Lions Club for volunteering at the dinner last night and for a $500 donation to pay for the chicken and Gane from Smokey’s who prepared and barbecued the chicken for us
It was deeeeeelicious.
I’d also like to acknowledge my board of directors; Sue Sawyers, Dorothy Roediger, Cathie Gernhardt, Virginia Jorge, Debbie Ghannadan, Gloria Westby,Jim King and his wife Jeanne, Ann Alumbaugh, Joe Viccaro and Marlene Brown and last but certainly not least a
BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone in the community that supported the Senior Center by buying a dinner. For anyone in our community who’s ever put on a fundraising event, it truly takes a village.
Although we didn’t sell all the tickets for this event, we did raise critically needed funding.
Thank you all for supporting, “our” senior center.

Feeling grateful and blessed 😇
