Not a sales post or a “come see me at such-and-such location” post. Not too many people know about my “Where’s George” hobby. If you’ve never heard about “Where’s George,” it’s a currency tracking website where users stamp bills and log the serial numbers so that when other people acquire those same bills, they can log the bill themselves and the site tracks everywhere the bill has been entered. It’s kind of silly, but I do enjoy logistics and I come into a lot of bills of all denominations (except $2 bills, I don’t get too many of those) through my business. I find it fascinating how a bill I received from selling in Willmar, MN, for example, could end up in Odessa, Missouri a few days/weeks/months later without me ever going there, which did happen. Kind of an “it’s a small world” and “we’re all closer than we seem” kind of thing.
Anyway, after about a year of stamping and entering bills that I receive either from customers while selling or just change from the grocery store, I decided to splurge and get myself a “signature stamp” for any bills that I receive while selling. I thought it quite appropriate to get the little pretzel 🥨 stamp, being that my seasoned pretzels are typically my top selling product line.
To make a short story long, keep an eye out for my pretzel stamp if you receive change from me and if you’re looking for a free and fun hobby, feel free to log those bills you got from me on the Where’s George website. You never know where they’ll end up next. Keep your eye out for bills with my little blue pretzel stamp; many have been released into the wild over the last month or so with more going out into circulation at every event.
