Well the long-awaited answer to “what’s happening to the Brandt’s Candies building” is here.

We feel so honored that Jeff’s Candies is continuing on with his candies as a new yummy place, while still honoring the beauty and nostalgia we love so much

Grandma Barbara, who we all adored, would love this. If it can’t be us, at least can be someone awesome and we wish him the BEST!

I will post any updates of Jeff’s to this page just to boost visibility but then the page will go to sleep and I hope you’ll all give him a heck of a lot of love and support

Although our beloved store is no longer open, you all are still our family. And so, with broken hearts, we wanted to inform you of the passing of our beautiful owner, the wonderful Barbara Phillips. She was always on the ready to talk to you all for way too long 😄 and laugh and tell stories all day. Brandt’s and our customer family brought her so much joy and she loved you all.

Thank you for all the love you all gave my amazing grandmother through the years

As one final post, I wanted to come on here as myself, Jenny, your friendly neighborhood social media lady, to wish you all an amazing holiday season, a great 2024, and all that comes beyond! And today, December 25th, a wonderful Christmas for those who celebrate and simply a wonderful day for those who don't

I started this page in my 20s to keep our little community updated on our little place. Now I'm in my forties and have amassed an amazing group of 3,000+ of you who read my silly posts:

I've had 3 children since we opened and have watched them grow up here. I've met so many hundreds of you, maybe thousands, and it's been nothing but a blessing.

I'll keep this page open to let you know any future updates for this business and where it's headed, but for now I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your kind words, your support, and your acceptance of my silliness.

And a big shout-out to my child, L, who has run our Instagram account and given me lots of great advice on my own posts ❤️

Well, well, well, won't you look at that?

We will not be having a last-day blowout sale, as there's almost nothing on our trays, BUT

Tomorrow, we will have a very very limited amount of Easter solids (bunnies and a few crosses) available for purchase. Our candy will hold for months, especially in a cool area (fridge/freezer).

Note: VERY limited. VERY VERY

We have some larger items in milk, the bulk of the items are dark chocolate, a small smattering of favorites.

They WILL sell very quickly, so we won't be posting pics of availability or taking orders because it'll keep changing 🙂

A fellow Cleveland-area chocolatier (the owner and creator of the beloved Fear's Confections, now closed), Cassandra Fear, lost her life this past week in a sudden, unexpected, tragic accident.

She leaves behind a husband and two young children.

Thursday 12/21 Update:

This is our main case (the jelly/cream/caramels case!)

We still have some dried fruits, nuts, dipped treats, and a small amount of peanut butter smidgens, but the cupboards are running bare :)

As we come to the final four days of our time at Brandt's Candies, please be aware we are down to a very limited stock. We will not be making more at this time. As our time and supply dwindles down, we can no longer make new batches.

Although our selection is small, we still do have yummy treats for you for your holiday needs!

Please bear with us and understand this is a difficult and emotional time surrounding the closing of our store and we are trying our best to give you all the best last week we can provide!
