Today we ran our Candied Nuts all day❤️😎 This batch specifically was our Candied Almonds. I first started making candied almonds for a German Christmas market. They came out so good that I then began Candying Pecans and Cashews as well😋 (Side note, the Pecans are my absolute favorite). From then on, Candied Nuts have been a must-make week to week and a staple of our business ❤️

Today I got the opportunity to hang out with Jason from Pickering Hill Farms and learn a little bit about farming❤️😎 I had an amazing time running around through the cornfields, learning about strawberries and their winter preparation, and seeing the pumpkin patch🎃 also, I don’t know if there are more things that are as incredible as fresh sweet corn eaten raw😋😋 Thank you Jason, for the incredible tour😎❤️

Today I had my accountant, David Gollinger, in to make some candy and teach us how children’s books are made❤️😎 David is an author and has written two children’s books. 123 CLE, The Best Counting Book In The Land. And, ABC Around CLE: The Best Tour Of The Land And Letters.

123 CLE is out around Cleveland, including in store at Jeff’s Candy Shop and ABC Around CLE is on the way! If you would like to pre-order this book, check out his Kickstarter campaign😎

Also, I have to shoutout David in general. He has been my accountant for a while now, and he is a tremendous individual❤️ I would be so turned around without him. He has helped me keep my books clean, he helps me with business advice, and he’s been an amazing friend❤️

We attempted to make a chocolate hard candy!😂❤️ Although it didn’t go quite as planned, it was very tasty! I’m going to have to workshop this one but I still had a ton of fun experimenting 😎 Plus… CHOCOLATE STEAK 🥩
