Hey Fig Fam Jeremy Troski is one of my buddies and has a question on his happy, growing fig tree! It’s looks like his fig took off a little late in the season and may not ripen fruit in time before winter but I anticipate plenty of figs next year.

It’s happens with maturing trees and I hope all is well Jeremy. Thanks for every you do!

Has this happened to you before and will they ripen in time?

Hey Fig Fam! One of the best figs you’ll ever get your taste buds on are the Coll de Dama and Col de Dame figs and this one is one of the most beautiful of them all with it’s variegated green and yellow stripes with a w**e red interior. This fig from Mallorca has it all and does well in many conditions as long as you have a longer growing season. Have you seen a fig this beautiful? Unbelievable fig right here!

This fig is a top favorite for me and it’s so delicious I will grow it forever. It ripens mid-seasons, to slightly early in the season. Tastes of sweet strawberries and honey. Can be harvested still slightly firm and it will still be sweet and full of honey it also does well in humid climates and will only split occasionally during times of high rainfall. I’m always so impressed with this fig that I post about it on a regular basis!

Who loves sweet dark figs like this one?!

Hey Fig Fam,

This fig is a big ball of honey - yellow long neck is known for its large, golden-yellow figs that are mild in flavor and so sweet! This variety was cultivated at UCRiverside and given out to the fig world. They do require up to 10 days to ripen which is a lot hang time but seem to do well in a variety of climates z very please with this one as a whole and it’s one of my favorites

Hey Fig Fam, this is one of the most beautiful figs that I grow that tastes amazing as well. It requires a fair amount of warm days to ripen and it is so worth it to grow in a container. It’s a variegated fig that darkens when it ripens it partially darkens essentially incorporating every color of the rainbow. With a deep red interior and a berry flavor profile it’s a stunning for when it ripens.

Keep it simple. Grow a fig tree, harvest the figs, enjoy!

The best fruit tree you can grow. Simple growth habits, ripens quickly and can be grown in a container or in the ground! Hard to beat a fresh fig!

Hey Fig Fam - Salce is a delicious fig that is from the province of Molise in the heart of Italy. It has a flavor profile all its own with a refreshing flavor of peaches and watermelon. I’ve grown this fig for over a decade and it has a special place in my garden. I really cont compare it to any other fig variety and have to gif a big shout out to Mario who introduced this fig to the fig community with saxonfig.

Have you tried this fig before? It’s a must have for all fig growers and gardeners!

Hey Fig Fam,

This is an amazing fig that ripened earlier than normal l this year! Has an amazing interior with a huge amount of flavor! These figs require a lot of heat and sun but do surprisingly well in humid conditions. The Col de Dame Noir fig is one for the record books as far as superior flavor and sweetness. It’s worth growing in a container in northern climates and the extra care. There’s a good reason why this fig and series of figs remain in the top 5 for best figs of all time. Have you tried a Col de Dame or Coll de Dama fig before. Can’t believe I’m saying this but “if you know, you know!” Amazing fig and always a treat. People tend to love the Adriatic versions of them but it’s a good reminder of how delicious is Col de Dame Noir!

Hey Fig Fam!

This is a fantastic berry flavored fig that is great for colder climates and people newer to gardening and figs! It is an early to mid ripening fig that can produce year after year even if it does down to the ground. Hardy Chicago / Mt. Etna type fig named Brooklyn Park JD and it’s a fantastic fig for its smaller dark figs with a bunch of flavor! What do you think?
