Here are 3 common late-summer lawn mistakes to avoid:

1️⃣ Overwatering or Underwatering 💧
Aim for deep, infrequent watering rather than short, daily watering. About 1” of water per week is a good general target.

2️⃣ Mowing Too Short ✂️
Keep cool-season grass around 2½–3½” during summer. Taller grass handles heat and drought better.

3️⃣ Over-Fertilizing a Stressed Lawn 🌱
More fertilizer isn’t always better. Heavy nitrogen applications during summer can increase stress and disease pressure. Fall is the time to really build your lawn back up.
