Greetings Piano People of Wilmington and nearby! It's that time of year again to inform you about the 40+ acoustic pianos we have available for viewing now! We have many options available from multiple brands in several different, sizes, styles, finishes, and ages.

A few words about our pianos..
Some pianos still remain in the condition as the day they arrived at the shop, many others are currently in progress, but all will be thoroughly gone through before leaving our shop for delivery.

What work and service do we perform?
-All pianos are completely refurbished inside and out.
-Full tuning to standard A-440 pitch.
-Full regulation of action, keys, and pedals to factory specifications.
-Polishing and lacquer sealing of all brass hardware.
-Conditioning and treating all wood finishes with oil and wax polishes to restore finish.
-Complete disassembly and thorough cleaning, vacuuming, and lubrication of interior and action.
-All broken strings, broken hammers, sticking keys, etcetera are properly remedied.

What's included with each purchase?
*All piano purchases come with a bench, delivery will be coordinated for a fee (within 30 miles), and 1 FREE in-home tuning after delivery.*

*All pianos also come with a 5 year warranty on all parts and labor*

Do you have a piano already, but are looking to possibly upgrade? Trade it in and receive a credit towards its replacement! The delivery charge will cover the swap and delivery of BOTH pianos!

What a beast! I first saw this 1881 Steinway back in January 2019. It was in the home in the last picture on Figure 8 Island, up on that third floor... I assessed it for work or to purchase it back then but had no interest in it as the move would have been insane. Welp, to my delight, it was bought and moved and now resides in Castle Hayne! It's great to still be able to work on it, it's quite a unique one!

Put a fresh tuning on this 1996 Knabe baby grand we sold them just over a year ago. A1, the highest monochord was replaced on my last visit and it certainly kept stretching! 'Tis much better now. The original cloth fabric on the music desk was also disintegrating all over the tuning pins, so that was replaced with new ecsaine which I conveniently had with me from doing the same job yesterday for another client in Hampstead. When one has to move a piano only six blocks back to the shop, one does not rent a truck just for that.. Instead, we just roll her down the sidewalk and street!! This is actually our third time doing the same distance from the same neighborhood! First with my tallback that I brought home earlier in 2020, and again last year delivering to a nearby church.

An empty hall, an empty stage, a $200k piano, VIP parking, and 2 hours of alone time. I love my job.

When the piano is tired of playing, it just needs to rest and lay down... 🙃 Working on a beast of a Stieff we sold to a customer a few years ago. Being from 1918, it's going to have a few loose tuning pins, so here we're treating them with CA glue.

What a full day of pianos and piano moving yesterday was! We started with delivering an '87 Everett studio made by Yamaha to the Wilmington Symphony Office. Next an amazing tank of a piano to a lucky new owner, an '89 Baldwin 6000. Then an ebony gloss Lothar Schell studio was delivered to its new owner in Hampstead. After our deliveries, I went back to a film location in someone's home. They rented a Steinway S from out of town, and I assisted in the moving and setup of that last week, and back to the warehouse again. Lastly, made it to Beckwith Recital Hall at UNCW to remove the lid from the D and tune it and its smaller "B"rother next to it for a double piano recital! To say I'm wiped is an understatement.

Back a few years ago Alexei Mejouev approached me about making a video for my shop. Check out his page as he does great work and I couldn't be happier with this video! I failed to post and share it then as at the time I felt I could barely keep up with the workload. I still can't and it's only increased, but that's not a reason not to share it! Luckily I currently have a better setup and arrangement in the shop, but I still have too many pianos! 😁🎹
