ATTENTION VENDORS & ATTENDEES CONSIDERING THIS EVENT who are local to Wilmington or local to North Carolina..
This is all based on years of feedback from this company's show attendees...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS POKEKON FEST AT THE HOTEL BALLAST.

The company that runs it is called OurCons.
They manage this show and every show remotely. They are not a locally based company. Their only goal is to grab your money and move along.

The last year they had their show here, it was atrocious. They might have had a whopping 12 vendors and the door charge is $20. All I heard for the rest of the weekend were complaints from customers that attended. I feel so bad hearing that a family wasted their hard earned money to go to a "festival" and you walk in to shop a whole 12 vendors worth of pokemon collateral.

Again, I want to stress this, I will recommend any other show in this area other than this show. If you NEVER listen to me ever again, I will be sad, BUT DO NOT ATTEND THIS SHOW.

I want to support local 100% of the time. So please, seek out the vendors that do the show and support them elsewhere. But as far as the goal of celebrating the life of pokémon in a little tour, I would disagree that is what they do. . We have a ton of local shows within 100 miles that are run by locals to North Carolina. Please go support them. Do not waste your time with this show.

I would also like to point out that they run the Anime Fest con that takes place at the Ballast hotel as well. That was atrocious but I had a great sales day because there was nothing to buy there and they charged $20 to walk around a poorly air conditioned room filled with about 15 vendors.

I really wish they had a way to leave a Google review, because I cannot imagine they would have anything higher than one star.

ANY LOCAL VENDOR THAT IS SETTING UP AT THIS SHOW AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A FREE TABLE IN MY PARKING LOT ON THE SAME DAY INSTEAD, FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT. I WILL EVEN ADVERTISE FOR YOU FOR FREE THAT YOU WILL BE IN MY PARKING LOT SELLING WHATEVER POKÉMON RELATED COLLATERAL YOU ARE SELLING.
