Fall is here! Absolute banner days on our Private Water arriving with the changing of the season. The morning water temp was 58° with an air temp at 54. Our first rise at 7:15 and dry Flies were the ticket until a little after eight when the sun hit the water. Small Chubbys and bombers fished with a little movement were the ticket. A small number of Isonychia, blue winged olive, and a little bit of Trico flying around. The streamer fishing has also turned on. We landed a handful of nice fish and smaller articulated streamers and as the day progressed, we needed to put on a 10 foot sink tip (sonar sink tips from Sci anglers are wicked - built in swivel etc.) to keep the bite going as fish started to retreat to deeper water. You need to fish zones surrounded by deep water when the flows are low (they are).
Call the shop to book and get the most updated conditions. They are simply no better fishing in the Adirondacks than our private water programs right now.
