🎃 Happy Halloween, Wilmington! 👻 Stop by tonight and take some pictures in our Halloween themed photo ops! (FREE). We may be all out of pumpkins, but there’s still plenty of fun waiting for you at Amber Dale’s tonight! We’ll be here until 10 p.m., and everything’s lit up and looking beey spooky!

It’s the perfect night to snap some Halloween photos with your friends…the lights, the arches, and the spooky little setups are perfect for pictures! 💜🧡

Even with the littles, we know once it gets dark it usually means time to head home…but not tonight! Come ride through our spooky (but not too spooky) trail on the hayride or barrel ride and make one more Halloween memory before the season ends. 🌙🎃

No entry fee at all, everything’s completely free. The only cost is $5 per rider if you want to hop on the hayride or barrel ride.

Our prize-winning pumpkin came in at 85.7 pounds, and Savannah LeeAnn Poston guessed 85 pounds, making her our winner of the biggest pumpkin in the patch! 🏆

Please stop by tomorrow anytime between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to claim your prize. Don’t worry, we’ll help you load it, just make sure you bring a vehicle big enough to fit it in! 🚙🎃

🫶🏻 Thank you to everyone who joined in on this contest. It was so much fun seeing all your guesses come in! If you missed it, we posted the live video earlier tonight when we weighed the pumpkin. We were running a little late because of a surprise birthday party, but we finally got it done, and it was worth the wait! 💛

👻 We’ll be open tomorrow on Halloween from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and then we’ll reopen on Black Friday to kick off our Christmas season. 🎄

Hi, Wilmington. 🎃 I know it might not look like there’s a huge selection left when you first pull up, but trust me, there are still some really pretty pumpkins out here!

These were taken in the rain and the dark, so if they look this pretty now, wait until you see them in daylight. 😍 Don’t be jealous of my amazing photography skills. 😆

💚 💛 🤍 I keep looking at these three, the green, yellow, and white ones, and thinking, will someone please come buy these so they can be stacked together? That color combo is just too good to sit here.

And after seeing that cartoon today, I couldn’t help but laugh. Every pumpkin deserves a good home, even the ones wearing pumpkin spice cologne trying to get noticed. 😂

Hi, Wilmington. You may notice that the mums decorating our photo areas are not for sale, and we wanted to share why.

🪴 Tony was one of the very first people to help us here at Amber Dale’s. Every single morning, without fail, he watered every mum, not one was ever missed. He took so much pride in his work, and we’ll always remember his gentle spirit, kind smile, and the way he could make anyone laugh once he felt comfortable around you.

His sister told us that working at Amber Dale’s was what gave Tony the confidence to go out and get his job at Lowe’s Foods, where he later became employee of the month! He was the one who took that step forward and continued to grow, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. Tony faced more challenges in life than most, but he met every one of them with courage, humor, and heart. 🫶🏻

🌺 The mums you see around the patch will be displayed at Tony’s funeral in his honor. It means a lot to us to be able to do this for him and his family.

I’ve always tried to take the time to read obituaries, not because it’s sad, but because it feels like a way to quietly honor someone’s life, to pause for a moment and recognize all the things they did and the people they touched. Tony’s story is one of kindness, perseverance, and joy, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read it. It’s a beautiful reflection of a life well-lived.

💛 Thank you, Tony, for being part of our story. You’ll be missed by so many, including all of us at Amber Dale’s.

Something blue (and super cute) is happening at Amber Dale’s tomorrow! 💙

Thank you to New Hanover County Fire Rescue and the crew of Station 17 for stopping by today with the safety house and fire trucks. Thank you New Hanover County Sheriff's Office for sending your VIPER unit! The kids absolutely loved it, and we’re so grateful for everything you do. 🚒 🚓

🫶🏻 And thank you to everyone who joined us the last two nights for our Boxcar Drive-In events. Watching the kids in their little cardboard cars, snuggled up watching the movie, was just the sweetest thing! We even had a few couples out for date nights. 😊 It felt peaceful and homey, exactly what fall nights should feel like. 🍂

We’ve had a few people ask, “Are all of your pumpkins picked over?” The answer is absolutely not! We still have hundreds of gorgeous pumpkins just waiting to be adopted! 🎃

🌟 Tomorrow’s going to be such a fun day at the patch. 💙 Your favorite blue puppy will be here from 12 to 2 (for FREE), and the minis from Port City Minis will be back in blue to match! It’s free to visit the pony corral, and children’s pony rides are only $15 from 10am to 2pm!

Hi, Wilmington, look who visited the patch today! 🐶 🎃

Thank you to everyone who helped us find Moo. His sweet mama brought him back to see us again today, and we couldn’t have been happier to see that wagging tail coming across the lot. 🧡 The firefighters even joked about getting him certified to ride on their truck with them…he’s just that good of a boy. 🚒

Thank you, Rachel Miller, for bringing him every season. He’s the bestest boy, and we can’t wait to see y’all again soon! 🍁🐾

I didn’t want to go to sleep tonight without telling y’all how much tonight meant to me. 🫶

As many of you know, Amber Dale’s was named after my sister Amber. She went to heaven on this day years ago, and she loved children more than anything. Our boys, Brady and Gavin, were her whole world. Before the patch opened, this day was always really hard for me. I used to spend it at home in tears, but tonight looked a whole lot different. We got to do something I know she would’ve loved. We spent the evening surrounded by families, laughter, and kids just being kids.

One mom told me that when she’s here, “the noise of the world just seems to stop,” and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything truer. It’s exactly what I’ve always hoped this place would be, a little pocket of peace in the middle of a busy world. 🌙

We’ll be playing “The Nightmare Before Christmas” FREE again on Saturday night (Oct. 25th) at 6:45 p.m. for so many of you that wanted to come earlier but couldn’t. 🎬 Bring your own box and decorate it, or just grab some blankets, enjoy some hot chocolate in the cool weather, and relax for a while. The patch is absolutely beautiful after dark, with the lights, the laughter, and the beautiful night sky. ✨

I also want to give a huge thank you to Eternal DayStar Enterprise LLC for making tonight happen. They put so much work into it, and it truly meant a lot to us. 🎥

And during the day on Saturday, it’s our Pumpkins & Fire Safety Day! 🎃🚒
Last year, so many of you asked us to bring back the Fire Safety House, so we listened! We’re thrilled to have New Hanover County Fire Rescue back again. Everything with the fire department is completely free, and entry to the patch is free too. It’s such a great chance to come out, meet some of our local heroes, and enjoy something fun with your family that doesn’t cost a dime. ❤️

We’ll be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
