On the Viking Ship Kara cruising from Basel, Suisse to Amsterdam, Netherland! Just past Worms, Germany! Pic the the Gothis Watch Rower on the carbine protecting Worms! Arrived in Basel, our embarkation point, after flying Finnair from Philly to Bas through Frankfurt! If you can…bypass Frankfurt Airport! First River stop was Freiburg, Germany for our first city and Christmas Market tour! Fun tour of ancient Friebourg and the fun market! The cathedral was impressive! The gutter-like device provided fresh water in the town to use to fight fires sins most of the old town was wood! The fire fighters were all women, since they were at home if a fire broke out! On marriage, each new bride was given a large leather bucket with which to fight fires! The click on the cathedral only measures the hour! The carvings on the church also provide a length to check whether or not you purchased length of cloth was what you paid for and you weren’t cheated!
