Would you believe this beautiful handmade paper started as packing paper? 😍♻️

Our very first class at Art Again Thrift was an Intro to Papermaking, and we had the best time with this wonderful group! Everyone left with a handful of their own handmade paper to use for journaling, card making, scrapbooking and more… all while keeping paper out of the landfill. 💚

Calling all artists, makers, businesses, and creative community members! 🎄

The Youth Development Center is looking for vendors and tree and wreath decorators for this year's Festival of Trees.

Art Again will be decorating a wreath (members stay tuned to participate!) and we'd love to see others help raise funds for the YDC in this unique way!

Whether you want to showcase your work, decorate something beautiful, or help bring a little extra magic to one of Wi******er's favorite holiday traditions, there is a place for you.

WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

Introducing the Paper Bar where you can put your own card kits together from card stock and scrapbooking paper, to ephemera and envelopes. You choose each piece to match your personal style or project! Whether you are into scrapbooking, junk journaling, or mixed media, there is something for every project! We'll keep it stocked until we run out!

The majority of these items came from one donation that you've been waiting for - and the other large part will be part of our first MEMBER ONLY SECRET SALE! So members, make sure you ask about the sale this weekend when you stop in!

The idea for this came from the fun we've had putting together our junk journal and scrap paper kits. They fly off the shelf, and we have so much fun putting them together for you that we thought you might enjoy putting a custom kit together yourself!

On Sunday, we received an INCREDIBLE donation… nearly 20 bins filled with stamps, scrapbook paper, embellishments, card-making and journaling supplies, and SO much more. 😍✂️

To the generous woman who trusted us with it all: THANK YOU. ❤️ We know the value of what you gave us, not only in dollars, but in years of collecting and creating. We’re so grateful to give these supplies another life with our local artists, teachers and creative community.

But the kindness didn’t stop there…

A customer who was leaving the store saw us unloading, put down her purchases, and before I could even tell her she didn’t need to, started carrying bins in with us. And they were HEAVY! 😂❤️

Two people who didn’t know each other. One incredibly generous donation. One unexpected helping hand.

This is community. 🥹❤️

And scrapbookers, card makers & journalers… keep an eye on us. 👀 We’ve had a TON of wonderful donations arrive all at once, so please be patient while we sort through everything and get these treasures out into the shop as soon as we can.

We absolutely LOVE the people we get to meet and the good we get to see in our community every day. ♻️❤️

Ever wondered how handmade paper is made? Come get a little messy and a lot creative at our Intro to Papermaking class!

Learn how to use different types of scrap paper to create your own custom sheets while experimenting with different papermaking techniques. And the best part? You’ll leave with 8–10 sheets of your own handmade paper PLUS your own deckle and mould so you can keep creating at home!

It’s creative reuse at its best taking something that might otherwise be tossed and turning it into something completely new. ♻️💛

🧵✨ ALWAYS WANTED TO LEARN TO SEW? THIS IS YOUR SIGN!

Have you been wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine but have no idea where to start? No experience needed… this class is truly for absolute beginners!

Join Julie Napear of Bloom Sewing for a special one-time Absolute Beginner Sewing Lesson.

Julie will walk you through sewing machine safety and basic sewing notions before moving to the machine. You’ll learn how to thread your machine, practice your stitches, and then put those new skills to work by making your very own pillowcase to take home along with instructions so you can make another!

✨ YOUR CLASS INCLUDES:
• Up to 4 hours of instruction (most finish in 3–3.5 hours)
• Use of Julie’s beginner-friendly Brother CS6000i sewing machines
• All sewing notions and tools needed, including scissors, marking tools, point turner, iron & more
• Fabric and thread for your project
• Pillow insert
• Take-home instructions

Prefer to learn on your own machine? Bring it! Just let Julie know the make and model ahead of time.

If you’d rather bring your own fabric, you’ll need ½ yard of washed woven cotton (40–44” wide) and matching thread. Julie recommends Coats & Clark Dual Duty XP; a 125-yard spool is plenty.

Join local textile artist and weaver Clara Schulte for Visible Mending with Sashiko and learn how this Japanese stitching technique uses simple stitches, pattern and color to mend, embellish and completely transform textiles into something uniquely yours. 💛
